he insists on fact checking the quibbler, which luna thinks is hilarious
he gets really upset because most of the things the quibbler covers have no actual concrete evidence anywhere. its very frustrating. one day hes reading a manuscript edition and its like “pond newt poop has incredible regenerative abilities if consumed in large enough quantities. see page 60 for potion instructions.” and he’s like that is horrible and completely untrue?? and luna is like it is NOT untrue!! someone sent in this article so we are going to print it. and he’s like pROVE IT. prove that newt poop is regenerative!!! and she’s like YOU prove its NOT if its such a big deal, mister science! and he tries to disprove it but he cant find anything that says anything about any properties of newt poop. so he gives up on that one.
